Henry Roeland “Roy” Byrd, better known as Professor Longhair or “Fess” for short, was an African American singer and pianist who performed New Orleans blues. Professor Longhair is known for his big bold sound and personality. To represent him I used typography in a bold and expressive way along with a the traditional Mardi Gras color scheme.
